“We can never fully repay our debt of gratitude to the more than 650,000 service members who died in battle, 1.4 million who were wounded,” veteran and Saline County Presiding Commissioner Kile Guthrey stated during his greeting at a Veterans Day ceremony held Friday, Nov. 11. “We can, however, recognize and thank the 25 million veterans that are still living today.”
